THE AMIMASHOP GUIDE

How to choose a wooden serving tray set

A tray should fit what you serve, feel comfortable to carry and suit the space where you use it. Start with the cups, plates or bowls you already own, then compare tray dimensions and the number of pieces in a set.

Choose the shape for your table

Rectangular trays offer a straightforward way to arrange cups in a row or carry drinks with a small snack plate. Square trays can suit a compact tea setting, while round trays work well as a centrepiece or for a smaller serving arrangement. Check the usable space inside the rim: a tray’s overall dimensions do not necessarily describe its flat inner surface.

Explore the decorative rectangular tray set of 3, view the royal square tray set of 2, or compare the 12- and 10-inch round trays.

Measure before choosing a size

Place your intended cups and plates together on a table and measure the arrangement. Allow room between them so pieces do not touch while you carry the tray. Compare that space with the product measurements and ask us for inner dimensions if the fit is close.

Our decorative rectangular set lists 16 × 10, 14 × 8 and 12 × 6 inches. The square set lists 12 × 12 and 10 × 10 inches, with a 2-inch height. The round pair lists 12- and 10-inch diameters. These sizes help you compare the sets; they are not a promise of how many cups each tray can carry.

Decide whether you need two trays or three

A set gives you a choice of sizes for different occasions. A smaller tray may suit a single place setting, while a larger one gives more space for serving. If storage matters, check your cupboard shelf dimensions and ask whether the selected design nests. Do not assume every set is nestable.

See the floral mango wood tray set of 2 for a pair of 14- and 12-inch trays, or browse all serving tray sets to compare designs.

Check materials, finish and care

“Wooden” does not identify every component of a product. Read the material field and ask us about the top, base, rim and coating if those details matter to you. Avoid assuming a decorative finish is waterproof, dishwasher-safe or suitable for direct food contact.

For the listed decorative trays, use a soft, dry cloth and keep them away from water and prolonged moisture. Do not soak them or put them in a dishwasher. Use plates or bowls for food, and check with us before placing very hot cookware directly on the tray.

Make a considered gift

Match the tray’s design with the recipient’s dining space. A coordinated napkin holder or cutlery organiser can complete the setting. Our home and dining gift bundles list exactly what is included and the saving against buying the same pieces individually.

Gift wrapping is not included unless confirmed. For a time-sensitive gift, share the delivery PIN code and the date you need it before ordering. Contact Amimashop for help choosing a set.
